Why Use Radios?

Say your at a job site with a few guys and one of these situations comes up:

You need to contact a specific worker to ask him if he's completed a task, you unsure where he is, but you could probably shout around for him or he might answer his phone if it's not too noisy.

-OR-

At a job site, you have an announcement. Not only did lunch just arrive, but Jim just bust his leg and you need help getting him to a safe spot for rescue.

Both of these situations is as easy as grabbing your radio, holding a button, and announcing your message. "Josh, is power safe to turn on?" "Everyone, lunch is here, but I need a hand with Jim in the basement".

Effective communications is far more useful, AND important, then most will recognize. Even talking to just one person, everyone else can sort of stay on the same page, because they also know what is going on now.

But this is not limited to business. These radios could very well be used by family and friends for other purposes such as camping or going to theme parks. While walkie-talkies are an option, these COULD be cheaper AND provide additional features. Not to mention, we know how to handle licensing and what needs to be licensed. You may be surprised to know you are required (by FCC) to have a license for most frequencies on walkie-talkies.

Being these radios are programmable, it is entirely possible to say have a few channels for home/family, a channel for work, and say a channel for your fire station. It is also possible to disable transmit on specific channels if you only wish to listen. You ARE permitted to monitor unencrypted radio traffic from others without a license (in America), but others may listen to you, so DO NOT send sensitive information over the air unencrypted.

We offer various types of radios (handheld, mobile vehicle, desktop, etc.) as well as programming and maintenance. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

  • Easy, simple, effective communication
  • Works where/when cell phones don't
  • Small and light weight options available

  • *Note that range is affected by many factors, but walkie-talkie style radios and systems usually have about one mile of range without line of sight.
